Caper fruits, also called “Cucunci,” are a typical product of the Mediterranean area. Once harvested, they are salted for about ten days and then soaked in wine vinegar. Compared to capers, they have a milder flavor. Ideal as a tantalizing and original appetizer or as a side dish for fish dishes.
